Today, Tuesday October 21st, 2025 marks the start of a new moon cycle.  A new moon in the sign of Libra.  New moons represent the beginning of a new cycle -hence, new beginnings and a perfect time to set new intentions.  By using the energies to our benefit, we can guide our soul into understanding what needs to be done or where we should focus on consciously and intentionally.  The ruler of the new moon, Venus is also in Libra and forming a grand trine to Pluto and Uranus opening a gateway of liberation and transformation on the soul level focused not only on our relationships with others, but also bringing something back into balance and harmony from within ourselves.  The new moon forms many aspects, but in particular for this one, I want to focus on the formation of the YOD, also known as the “Finger of God”.  Although a yod configuration could represent a lot of frustration, stress and tension, a yod invites us to push towards constant adjustments both inwardly and outwardly, pushing us to become better and to evolve.   When I think of yods, I think: adjustment, adjustment and adjustment.  Adjustment is about making a change to make something better.  It is about making something better one step at a time. Adjustment is a small alteration or movement.  So it is not about having to make major life changes, but it’s about tweaking things little by little for the better.    A yod is formed by two inconjuncts (also known as quincunx) linked together by a sextile(see pink triangle above). Interestingly enough, we also have a planet at the boomerang point(Chiron in Aries). A beautiful reiteration of the Libra archetype once again, inviting healing and new beginnings.

This new moon invites us for improvements and adjustments that propel our healing and purification that our souls are constantly working through, whether we realize it or not.

The inconjunct to Saturn & Neptune invites us to pay attention to external cues that may be frustrating us at the moment.  In order for us to truly begin a new spiritual path and journey, there must be the surrender of old stagnating patterns that are holding us back.  Although it is likely our nature to not want to accept what others have to say, this is an excellent time to ponder and try to listen with an objective point of view.  Many times, when we live in our subjective mind, we cannot see clearly… we only see from our own point of view, without truly considering that others may actually have a valid point.  Looking at the way we treat others, how we are speaking to our significant other, child, employee, or anyone for that matter should really be examined.  What small change can I make today in how treat those around me?  Beginning with setting the intention to do one small thing differently can go along way.  For example: Let’s use a person that may get under your skin at work, who always seems to do something wrong.  Just for today, I am going to compliment something that person is doing right.

It is important to remember that those around us are reflections of who we are actually are inside, and what we are going through.  It is usually the person who annoys you the most, or who gets under your skin that is showing you something you have to work on from within your self.  As within, so without.   Sometimes, we don’t see it the ways others portray, and this new moon gives us the opportunity to meditate on external perspectives in order to receive some clarity.  Once we can humbly accept and see that there are always things we can change and let go of, we can really begin to make changes. Lots of small changes leads to big transformations.

The inconjunct from Uranus in Gemini to the new moon invites us to inwardly liberate from any self defeating, limiting and negative thought patterns that we have allowed to enter our energetic field.  Many times, we get carried away allowing our current circumstances to dictate the vibration of our thought, but it is important to remember that if we want to attract something good, our thoughts and vibration must match the frequency of that which we are desiring to have or achieve.  Catch yourself when thinking something that does not serve you.  Using how you feel as an indicator as to whether that thought serves you or not.  It's as simple as this.  If it makes you feel good, your likely on the right path! If it does not, you are probably on the wrong one.  This new moon invites us to pay attention and make adjustments in our thinking patterns, and to release the negative thought processes, and negative words that come out of our mouth.  As we also deal with relationships in this moon, it is a great opportunity to make those little adjustments not just in how you think, but also in how you speak.  If you are use to insulting or saying something negative, practice using a different approach.  Adjust the manner in which you are used to speaking.

We will enter into the full moon in Taurus on November 5th, giving us a checkpoint to see how these adjustments have played out, and how they have transformed our inner values from within.  It will serve to show us what still needs releasing, and what the fruits of our labor have generated for us. Taurus rules the inner side of Venus, and the full moon coming up will illuminate back the inner love we have towards ourselves and how both the inner and outer worlds are reflections of one another.
